More baking – this time a purple and white swirled rosette cake for the mother of one of my best friends who is celebrating a birthday this weekend. Can you believe this is my first purple cake? It’s travelling to Okaihau today so I hope it has a safe trip!

What a great idea
I like to give presents. The best ones are those I’d want for myself. I managed to find something for a three year old girl which I want myself, and decorate it in a manner I’d be thrilled to receive – purple pink and shiny! (The gift is a pink My Little Pony…)
